Should I or Must I?
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:16-17 This morning I was reading a book about manhood. In it, the author made the point that Jesus is the best example for manhood. He, of course, was right. Jesus is our best example in all things, especially manhood. He exemplified strength, love, compassion, sacrifice, nobility, and courage (among so many other things). In my three decades of following Christ I have heard all kinds of teaching. Some very elementary, some very sophisticated and some just outlandish. I very seldom read or hear something that I have never heard before. This morning was different.
